Benefits of living in Spain

Spain, by and large, receives a bountiful supply of golden rays of sunshine throughout the year.

It is a well-known fact that climate and lifestyle affects health. People who live in warm, sunny climates are generally happier and much more relaxed than those who live in cold, wet climates.

An added benefit If you move to Spain, you will never have to leave the country for your summer holiday!

Natural Beauty

Spain has some truly exceptional natural resources here you’re guaranteed to find a little bit of everything. Lakes, mountains, forests, valleys, cliffs, golf courses, and, of course, beautiful beaches. The country’s wide diversity of landscapes never ceases to amaze us, or the estimated 40 million tourists who come to visit every year.

More and more people now even make plans to buy a house in Spain, a Spanish villa or ocean-view apartment and live and work or retire there and make use of their Spanish property, living as a permanent resident in Spain.

The Costa Blanca in particular is renowned for its healthy climate and beautiful coastline. 212 kilometers of Mediterranean seafront to be exact.

Pace of Life

While the siesta is not as common as it once was, generally Spaniards have a more relaxed approach to life.

They work to live, not the other way round. The pace of life is definitely more leisurely here, and the emphasis is on spending time with friends and family.

Spaniards tend to live a little bit later than in the rest of Europe. Especially when it comes to meals, do not expect to have lunch before 2pm and dinner before 9pm. And be ready for a lunch break that can last up to two hours!

Since many of the home buyers are from outside of Spain, they say that the pace of life in Spain is a welcome change. With the great climate, friendly people, and fantastic food, there is little to complain about in our new home!

Healthcare

The World Health Organization named the Spanish healthcare system as one of the top 10 in the world. And its reputation is well-deserved.

Whether you go to a hospital or a walk-in clinic, the medical staff are well-trained, professional, and friendly. Spanish facilities are state-of-the-art, well-equipped, and clean.

Family Life

The notion of family has a deep-rooted importance in the Spanish way of life, and we’re sure you’ll feel right at home the moment you arrive.

In Spain it’s not uncommon to walk into a restaurant or bar and see entire families sitting together, day or night. Whether you are in major cities or a rural village, Spanish social traditions provide special attention for children. This excellent treatment also extends to the rest of the family.

Come and discover a warm, welcoming country with the best infrastructure for families, where your little ones will be looked after like nowhere else.

Outdoor Activities

There is no better place to be an outdoor enthusiast than Spain. You can enjoy a variety of sporting and recreational activities. No matter where you travel on the peninsula there is a wide range of specialized companies, and guides all around the country.

Here you can go sailing, cycling, hiking, improve your golf swing, or try paddling around at the beach. And in the winter, you can go skiing in the Sierra Nevadas in the south, or the Pyrenees in the north.

It’s the culture that Spain promotes around this diet: social interaction, respect for the environment and biodiversity, and preservation of traditional activities connected to local agriculture and fishing.

Safety and Peace of Mind

Spain’s high quality of life, healthy year-round climate and easy access to nature are also complemented with modern services in different European languages, such as world-class medical assistance and various amenities. According to the OCDE statistics, Spain has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. The Costa Blanca particularly is quite idyllic, and a very safe destination for tourists and business people alike. You will rarely find any serious crimes committed here.
